Inusah Fuseini123MP for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini
MP for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini has revealed that the Gitmo 2 arrived in Ghana with their families.

Inusah Fuseini said one of the Gitmo 2 came with a Yemen wife while the other was escorted to Ghana by his younger brother two years ago.

With this, he believes the NPP government have no excuse to say they cannot send the Gitmo 2 back to their country because their re-integration to Yemeni society would be flawless due to family support.

According to Inusah Fuseini, no mess was created by President Mahama accepting the Gitmo 2: Mahmud Umar Muhammad Bin Atef and Khalid Muhammad Salih Al-Dhuby on compassionate grounds as suggested by the NPP.

He added that the United Nation High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, declined to grant the two refugees status so there is no debate about them being given similar status in by Ghana.

The Foreign Minister, Shirley Ayorkor Botchway in Parliament this week disclosed that the former Government under the John Mahama has granted the Gitmo 2 refugee status making it difficult for them to be sent back to the home country.

But the Tamale Central MP Inusah Fuseini said it is not true and the NPP is engaging in a propaganda.

The Editor in Chief of the New Crusading Guide Kweku Baako Jnr also on the issue said the NDC has really created a mess by accepting the Gitmo 2 without Parliamentary approval which was later rectified by the Supreme Court.
