Actress Grace Omaboe known popularly in showbiz circles as Maame Dokono hasve advised persons in the creative arts industry to desist from living lavish lives now that they have the opportunity to invest what they are getting from the industry.
According to her, it is imperative that persons in the creative arts sector work hard and try their best to invest their monies into fruitful ventures which will prevent them from coming back later in life to cry for support because it is very embarrassing.
Maame Dokono indicated that she gets very sad when her colleagues come on radio and television to solicit for support from the general public all in the name of they were not been paid well in the past.
She said, “I was also not paid well just like the others, but I don’t like the situation where some of us will come and sit on air and solicit for funds, begging or crying”.
The legendary actress who was speaking on TV 3’s New Day show said it is imperative that people who are placed in charge of the creative arts industry to be persons who understand the industry in order to develop it into a world-class sector that will rake in revenue for the country.
