The father of the late Ebony Reigns, Nana Poku Kwarteng, has expressed his disappointment over Kasapreko Ghana Limited's snub of his daughter’s one-year anniversary concert.

According to Ebony's father who is popularly known as Starboy Kwarteng, the leading beverage company has refused to contribute anything to the upcoming which is slated for March 31, 2019, at the West Hills Mall in Accra.

Speaking on Zylofon FM on the preparations so far for the anniversary concert, Starboy Kwarteng disclosed that he had been informed by Bullet that Kasapreko was not willing to sponsor the concert.

Kwarteng explained that according to Bullet, Kasapreko had given the excuse of not being informed early enough about the concert.

But for the late singer's father, the excuse was not good enough because the company could have called him to discuss issues but rather ignored and chose not to contribute anything to the one year concert.

It will be recalled that Ebony, a few days to her untimely demise, signed a contract with Kasapreko to become a brand ambassador for the company's Hi5 Choco Malt drink.

While the details of the contract were scanty, it was reported at the time that Ebony was going to pocket $200,000 from the deal. But she did not live to enjoy whatever benefits she was supposed to get.

Ebony's one-year anniversary concert was expected to be observed on February 8, the exacted day she passed away in 2018, but had to be postponed probably because of sponsorship.
