Stonebwoy VGMA Statement ReleaseDancehall artiste, Stonebwoy
Stonebwoy has said in a recent interview that his tweet about bloggers pushing more controversial news than the positive, wasn’t intended to ridicule or stir bad energy.

Speaking on Hitz FM, he even sang the part of the national anthem that says “we are all involved in building our motherland”.

He said he has more than one publicist working for him in and outside Ghana but the conversation is beyond having a publicist and that no promoter pays a publicist to go on tour review.

According to him, he has been the most talked-about artiste this year and he owes that to the media.

Contrary to the notion that he did not have publicists, the reason for which he recently went mad at bloggers for not publishing his recent tour, he said he had a communication team that helps him.

“It was just a conversation. It was never meant to insult or ridicule any blogger. That’s why I added the laughter emoji so that at least we know that it’s with humour but it makes a lot of sense so I think people took it on and which is a thing we have to look at”, he said.

He said artistes like himself have worked so hard to the point that they don’t need to always use PR to broadcast their good works.

He, however, admitted that they get attention from the bloggers but they do more of negative news as compared to the positive.

“Let me not lie but we also feel like we do get more publicity when we are facing these headings”, he stated

“For instance honestly this year in Ghana, I have been in the news paaa for one of the things that happened that we all know. The highest of it so with an experience like that I’m learning and seeing a lot of things. That news went as far as Arab into Asia, the Dubai newspapers wrote it, he said.

He reiterated that bloggers work for money but to grow the country, nobody is paid to do anything in the name of the country.

“I believe that nobody pays us to live as Ghanaians. To represent as a country, there’ll be sacrifices so our fellow brothers who are bloggers have power now and the least they can do is to also shed more light on the positive things that we do if they can, more than the negative ones”.
